Miller Street Community Farm

Miller Street Community Farm is a project of Dees Crafty Bees. This site, Roosevelt Park, sits in a historically underserved area of the city. Since 2022, Dees Bees has added public water, farm buildings, raised beds, and security cameras along with a Honey Bee Apiary with tall hives, a chicken coop with 8 layer hens, and composting projects. The yields from these projects go to the Miller Bridge Street residents first then to the larger Middletown community, These farming projects are sustained by a collaborative network of farmers from Middletown and Portland but also supporters and farmers throughout the state; as far away as Manchester, Bloomfield, New London, Newtown, and Danbury.
